By using GarageFlip, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. The short version: GarageFlip is a marketplace — we connect buyers and sellers, hold funds in escrow, and take a fee when deals close. We don't own any vehicles and we're not a party to the transaction itself.
GarageFlip ("we," "us," "our") operates a peer-to-peer marketplace at garage-flip.com where individual buyers and sellers can transact project cars and automotive parts. GarageFlip is a facilitator — we provide the platform, identity verification, escrow infrastructure, and dispute resolution services. We do not own, inspect, or take possession of any vehicle or part listed on the platform.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GarageFlip. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use GarageFlip. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. Users in jurisdictions where this service is prohibited are not permitted to use GarageFlip.
When you create an account, you are responsible for:
You may not share accounts, create multiple accounts, or use another person's account. GarageFlip reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
All sellers must complete identity verification before listing a vehicle. Verification requires:
Verification status is displayed on seller profiles and listings. Submitting false, altered, or fraudulent documents is grounds for immediate and permanent account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
GarageFlip is designed for the $2,000–$15,000 project car and parts market. Acceptable listings include project cars, runners, partial builds, and used automotive parts with an honest description of condition.
GarageFlip may remove any listing that violates these rules at any time, without notice or refund of listing fees.
GarageFlip charges a 6% platform fee on all completed sales. This fee is deducted from the seller's payout when funds are released from escrow. There is no fee for buyers.
Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. By selling on GarageFlip, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. GarageFlip is not responsible for delays, errors, or failures caused by Stripe's payment infrastructure.
Listing a vehicle is free. The platform fee is only charged on successful transactions.
All buyer payments are held in escrow via Stripe Connect until the buyer confirms receipt of the vehicle or parts. The escrow process works as follows:
If the buyer does not confirm receipt within 7 days of the agreed delivery date, GarageFlip may release funds to the seller at its discretion after reviewing the transaction.
If a buyer claims non-receipt and initiates a dispute, funds remain held pending resolution. See Section 8 for dispute procedures.
GarageFlip provides a dispute resolution process for transaction disagreements. To initiate a dispute:
GarageFlip's dispute decisions are final for transactions conducted on the platform. By using GarageFlip, both parties agree to this dispute process as the first step before pursuing external legal action.
GarageFlip does not guarantee refunds. We facilitate the dispute process but are not liable for the outcome of a transaction between two private parties.
GarageFlip reserves the right to remove any listing, photo, message, or content that:
Removal of content does not create a liability for GarageFlip and does not entitle the user to a refund.

GarageFlip is a marketplace facilitator. We connect buyers and sellers but are not a party to any transaction. We do not own, inspect, certify, or take custody of any vehicle or part listed on the platform.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GARAGEFLIP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of GarageFlip is limited to the total platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold GarageFlip harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the platform, your listings, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms.
GarageFlip owns all rights to the platform, including its design, code, trademarks, and branding. You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, descriptions) but grant GarageFlip a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
GarageFlip may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Active transactions must be completed or cancelled before an account can be closed.
GarageFlip may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with changes, you must stop using the platform and close your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
